A Journey Back Home and a Mission to Promote Youngstown

After returning to the Youngstown area after living in Cleveland for four years, I never imagined I would find myself back in my hometown. I pursued my business degree with a minor in health care management at Cleveland State University and grew fond of the vibrant city life and constant events happening all around. I was always finding something new and exciting to explore. With a similar story about moving home from Pittsburgh, this sparked an idea between me and my life-long friend, Macey. 

Despite my initial hesitation about returning home, it quickly became clear that this move was the right choice. With a lifelong passion for creativity and a desire to make a positive impact, I realized that Youngstown has so much to offer. It is a city brimming with potential, waiting for us to promote its community events and local businesses. 

As a current marketing intern with The Cleveland Bucket List @theclebucketlist I clearly am an All-Ohio girly. Covering events from Cleveland to Youngstown is bound to keep me busy. 

Macey has been a constant source of inspiration and suggested we create this events blog to highlight the local scene. Our idea is simple yet powerful: to prove that there is always something happening in Youngstown and surrounding areas. 

Together, we launch this blog. We aim to connect people with new experiences and ideas. And aim to connect with people as well. (If you know us, we love to chat). With every post whether it’s a TikTok or blog post, we hope to inspire excitement for the community, demonstrating that sometimes, coming back home is the best decision you can make.
